what emotional or mental response may a person encounter when being told they have heart disease?
Also, how may these feelings affect their lives? PLEASE HELP i have a test tomorrow and i need to cover this question :(

panic, anxiety and depression. they feel like segregated from healthy individuals.

You will feel as if you dont belong in the world of the healthy, your 'sick' now and you will be in a world of ECHOS, EKGs, xrays, sometimes meds. Its a different world that others wont understand. you may be depressed to be in this new situation, maybe angry and wanting to know why this is happening to you. Eventually you will adjust but life wont be the same. Something that will help would be to make friends with others who have heart disease because they will know what you have been through and with them you can feel normal
