13 Yr Old Yorkie with Fluid in his lungs & He does NOT have Heart Disease

13 Yr Old Yorkie with Fluid in his lungs & He does NOT have Heart Disease?
He has cushings & airway disease but absolutely no heart disease. He is now on two fluid pills a day and still coughing. Crackles are increasing. He dropped 2 lbs but I did get him back up a little. Ran every test known gone to NC Vet school. Has anyone experienced this with their dog?

The dog is old. Old bodies start failing and eventually stop working. It's natural. ESPECIALLY when the animal has serious health issues like this one. He has lived a long life. Very very sorry to hear about the poor little guy's issues :( Just don't let him suffocate to death...that happened to a dog I once knew...she had blood in her lungs for weeks, struggling to catch each breath she took, and her owners were in too much denial to put her out of her misery... and she died at home from suffocation. Be fair to the little guy.

My dog is still a young'n, so no I have not. However, it does sound like he would be in a lot of pain with fluid in the lungs. What have the tests read? If the vets cannot do anything to help him, it very well might be time to let him go
