Why are African Americans and Latinos more likely to suffer from high blood pressure and heart disease?
Than Caucasians?

probably genetics..also us latinos and blacks stress more about life then other races..dont you think.this might be wrong but just a thought..i think its just genetics though

I think it has a tiny bit to do with genetics, but it's mostly that, on average, African Americans and Latinos tend to be more obese than Caucasians (ouch!). I don't mean to be offensive by that, but it's just a fact. And obesity leads to heart disease as well as many other diseases. One answerer said that those two groups stress more, but I don't really think you can generalize that, it's really dependent on the individual, their situation, and their coping methods... But maybe it contributes a tiny bit..? But anyways, I think it's a bit more to the genetics side for African Americans and a bit more to the weight side for Latinos. P.S. "Latinos" is too specific; I would venture to categorize it as "Hispanics", as Mexicans are often in this position. Again, not to be offensive, just trying to factually state something.

same reason why caucasians are more likely to suffer from osteoporosis, cancers, clinical depression, skin cancer, irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis
