Not much at all. In fact the Lipid Hypothesis has been disproven over and over again. It remains alive due to the "saving of face", monetary reasons , political reasons.

Possible public health approaches: 1) education about healthy diets (low fat, whole grain, etc.) 2) education about healthy cooking that tastes good 3) encourage use of healthy alternatives to trans fats, etc
