it can be, but usually seen in the elderly with failing or enlarged hearts for the younger person, consider overweight ? unfit? asthma? see your Dr for a check if you feel this is a concern

I think this matter is not so serious to be termed as a heart disease. Some of the common symptoms of heart disease includes: - Trouble breathing continuously - Multiple shallow breaths where it̢۪s hard to inhale deeply - Unnecessary sweating and sticky palms - Sick to your stomach - Rapid or accelerating heartbeat - Discomfort in your chest area - Tightness in your arms, shoulder and/or chest

I don't think it necessarily raises your risk, however, it's important to consider if there's enough consequence of the diabetes to cause neuropathic damage, then certainly that's an indicator that there may be other consequences of the diabetes, such as the micro/macrovascular complications that lead to heart disease. The autonomic neuropathy may have an effect on how b-blockers work and your ability to regulate blood pressure which also may have a consequence on heart health

I am so glad someone else is going through the same thing I am going through...that lets me know I'm not alone. I'm going into nursing and I have Type 1 Diabetes. I have been looking for forever and have turned up no great scholarships at all. Here are some tips: http://www.scholarships4students.com/congenital_heart_disease_scholarships.htm http://www.congenitalheartdefects.com/resources.html
