what is the most precise procedure to the detect the heart disease?
hi everyone, please tell me what is the most precise procedure to detect the heart problem??? i have heard of the 2D echo machine used by cardiologists..which is more precise??? my sister is experiencing chest pain?? she has already undergo X-ray, ECG but still her disease didnt detected...until now she is experiencing chest pain.. what is the most effective way/procedures to determine if she has disease or not... thank you!!!

The following tests should be conducted. * Cardiac stress test. * Stress Echocardiography. * Nuclear stress test /Thallium stress test.

Probably a chest x-ray to start. Then an Echocardiogram, ultrasound of the heart, will show structure and functions of the valves, will show any leakage if any. An EKG or ECG show the electrical conduction of the heart. The Dr may consider doing a heart catherization to see if any blood vessels are block if any.

Most doctors would sensibly stop investigation after a normal echo and a normal stress test
