my boyfriend says he gets 4 shots to the heart everyday and also takes four pills at the same time....is this possible...

There is no such disease for which we give "shots to the heart." There are many heart diseases treated with pills though.

It is a very difficult area to inject with any accuracy and the resultant scarring would be detrimental to the health of the heart. Due to sever complication ,direct injection medicines to the heart muscle only apply to very rarely situation during life saving cardio-emergency such as to rescue of cardiac arrest.In your friend condition can use iv injection or by month,medicines can reach to the heart easily.In some case the doctor may perform pericardiocentesis(put needle to percardial cavity) to suck fluidout for treatment of pericardititis.,but not inject medicines.
