only at the last , i may think the same thing then , guess we'll have to wait to find out
2 :
Come on.....if they DO die of heart disease, it is usually suddenly and dead people dont think. Besides, you ahve your views and other people are entitled to their own views and life styles as well.
3 :
I'm not sure if they think at all.
4 :
I'm fairly sure you dont get cancer from meat.
5 :
Funny, I eat meat. I am in better shape than you. You couldn't work out more than I do. I have a family of meat eaters, my son is in the best shape of us all. The doctor comments consistantly on his rating in the percentile scale for height/weight/health as he is consistantly in the 99 percentile. Care to try that question again with more facts this time instead of just bleeding heart crap?
6 :
What do you suppose I would be thinking then, should I be so unfortunate as to get a recurrence or metastasis of my cancer? What with me being a vegan? Please think before you post.
7 :
No. They're dead.
8 :
I dunno. Do you suppose some vegetarians think "Dang, I should have treated people with the kind of respect I would have wanted from them and not trashed them because they think differently from me."
9 :
I'll go and ask my 100 yr old meat eating Grandmother and my other meat eating relatives that are over 80 yrs. what thoughts will be going through their minds when they die.....in advance.

I had a Family member who had Heart disease & Cancer before he died-- And I was at his bedside when he left us- and I can assure you that during his last few minutes-- food was not on his mind

Absolutely. I was a coronary nurse for 6 years. Many of my patients would ask me how could they have a heart attack when they watched their diet, exercised, did not smoke, etc.
2 :
yes you can have heart disease as you age if you don't take the proper steps to prevent it. heart disease is NOT caused by high cholesterol. It is caused by inflammation of the arteries and veins in the body, this happens because as we age we produce less nitric oxide to keep them supple and healthy. If you wish to avoid heart disease, or cure any you may have, you need to read the book "NO More Heart Disease" by Louis Ignarro. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine for his work in this field and he has literally cured heart disease in thousands with a very inexpensive supplement formula that promotes our body's production of nitric oxide. Perhaps you remember Jim Fixx? A long distance runner, had excellent Lab values and he died of sudden cardiac arrest, he had never addressed the aging process and the loss of nitric oxide production.

well look at im 16 and i just found out i got a heart problem and im not fat i dont do drugs or smoke or anything im really healthy. if u still having chest pains and there really bad maybe try going to the doctors again and if its to bad of a pain go 2 the hospital

It is possible. There can be undetected causes or even a congenital condition that has gone untreated. Usually being overweight and having higher than normal cholesterol and triglycerides go hand in hand. When was his last checkup with blood tests? When was his last checkup with a cardiologist? Also what prompted his doctor to have him go through a cardiac stress test in the first place? He is doing most of the right things for a healthy heart, except for the weight. If his cholesterol and triglycerides were high in the recent past it could have caused narrowing of coronary arteries, thus the chest pain. There is also the possibility of problems with the electrical conduction pathways of the heart. Most of your questions are best asked of his doctor/cardiologist.

Hi idic5, Yes, it is possible to have a heart attack even though cholesterol levels are within normal. A better way to assess heart health is with a comprehensive lipid profile. You may recommend your friend discuss this with his physician. All the best, Lisa Nelson RD http://www.lisanelsonrd.com

Nuclear stress test should be conducted.

chest pains can be caused by a number of things, many of them are NOT cardiac. For example acid reflux can cause chest pains that feel like a heart attack, so can esophageal spasm, and that one is relieved by nitroglycerin, making the diagnosis all that much more difficult. The reason chest pain usually gets a cardiac workup is that cardiac problems are the ones that will kill you first. Once we rule those out, we can look at the bigger picture. If you have heartburn, I'd try discussing taking a daily acid blocker like prilosec or zantac with your doctor while the workup is going. If your pains go away you have your answer

Do I suffer from Blood Pressure or Heart Disease
Do I suffer from Blood Pressure or Heart Disease?
I suffer from dizziness, but it only happens at nights, and 1 or twice a month. sometimes it goes away for even 4 or 6 months and I don't feel it. but then it reappears again. Lately its being accompanied by shortness of Breath because of the abrupt awaking and my heart starts beating so hard I think I could have a stroke! Also my mouth feels drier than usual. Can someone tell if this are symptoms for Heart Diseaseor Low Blood PPressure.. or whatever it is.!! ?

make an appt with your health care provider
2 :
It can be da stress from any problem u have, but 2 ensure u should have a blood test, talk 2 ur doctor,I have same kind of problem, but make sure u r eating healthy food & have a test 4 blood pressure & heart problems
3 :
I suspect that your main problem is in fact anxiety, Get a check up from your GP for reassurance.
4 :
Blood raised pressure is often caused by the build up of crap in your the veins and arteries that feed the heart muscle. This may also cause heart disease,by restricting the blood supply and causing the heart muscle stress through lack of Oxygen. I would get a full blood done and a fasting lipids find out whats going on with your blood. Don't worry about your heart beating fast, What I do is get a whole heap of pillows and raise my head. It works
