Is there a specific heart disease that can paralyze you

Is there a specific heart disease that can paralyze you?
Maybe not even paralyzed, but a disease that would weaken you so you wouldn't be able to walk? And can it be fixed with a transplant?

Is it true that African Americans are @ higher risk for heart disease because of types of food eaten thru his
Is it true that African Americans are @ higher risk of heart problems because of the types of foods they have eatten throughout history or through the last 500 years. For example fried foods, fatty foods greesy foods, scraps from the pig, cow, ect and has it then become herditary?

as long as you take care of yourself you can control what you eat.
2 :
All of the pork, fried foods, and red meats do contribute to heart problems, and weight problems, and diabetes. It does put people at a greater risk no matter what race they are.
3 :
who cares - they drink sewage water anyway - and have to get internet access by plugging their laptop into a friggin' coconut tree haha
4 :
Not likely genetic, more just cultural from all that fat in the diet with less anti-oxidant foods (fruits and vegies). Its genetic in just about everyone.
5 :
Just wasn't the food it was all the SALT that was added, ham cured in salt., collard greens required salt to taste better. Comfort foods usually high in fat. Genetics does play a role in this. Since they were brought here against their will, they had to survive with the food they were not used to

how does exercise prevent heart disease

how does exercise prevent heart disease?
so, I'm doing this essay on "why exercise is healthy for you" and one of my general statments is that it prevents heart disease and now I need supporting details for that any ideas how exercise prevents heart disease?

1 :
When you exercise blood moves, the body sweats, your heart beats faster, and in general you are moving through blood transportation, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides to be rid out of the body. Do this enough and you have a cycle of keeping HDL fat UP which cleans out the arteries etc. Exercise is one way of getting high HDLs... Now do your homework because I have been through it and you need to learn
2 :
1. Exercise increases blood flow to your heart. This strengthens your heart and helps it pump more blood with less effort. Therefore it beats fewer times a minute and doesn't work as hard. 2. Exercise helps control your weight. Correct weight = less risk for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. 3. Exercise reduces stress. Stress = cortisol production = weight gain and inflammation. Inflammation = hardening of blood vessel walls = strokes, heart attacks, aneurysms. 4. Exercise helps keep cholesterol low. Cholesterol = plaque buildup in arteries. This equals heart attacks and strokes. 5. Exercise keeps blood vessel walls flexible. This prevents "hardening of the arteries", which can = heart attacks and strokes.
3 :
It keeps the heart healthy and pumping right, it also cleans out harmful plaque build up.
4 :
Makes the heart muscle stronger, burns excess calories/fat, lowers blood pressure, releaves stress. Here's more info

What is the correlation between coronary artery disease, coronary heart disease and ischemic heart disease

What is the correlation between coronary artery disease, coronary heart disease and ischemic heart disease?
Are they actually the same? I have to do an assignment about coronary artery disease.I'm kinda confused, some books say that CAD=CHD=IHD while others say CAD=CHD and can cause IHD.

1 :
Coronary artery disease/coronary heart disease is the atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries. There will be no symptoms. Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a narrowing of the small blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart. CHD is also called coronary artery disease. When it gets to an advanced stage, less and less oxygenated blood is supplied to the cardiac muscles. When such a patient shows difficulty in climbing the stairs, he feels labored breathing (dyspnoea) and chest pain. Such a condition is known as ischemic heart disease.
2 :
they are basically all the same

How come Atheists are more likely to die from Heart Disease than Christians

How come Atheists are more likely to die from Heart Disease than Christians?
They must have a dark heart.

Ai luv Puddinz!
3 :
At least we have a heart.
4 :
The vast majority of prison inmates in America are Christians.
5 :
The idiocy radiating from Christians cause atheists much stress. Also, ignorance is bliss.
6 :
because people like you don't have one.
7 :
In the beginning there was nothing but darkness,
8 :
I never heard of that. Why is less than 1% of the prison population Atheist? What would Jesus think of his suppose followers *chuckling*
9 :
Where is your evidence for this statement?
10 :
So, yes...I will be the very typical Atheist when I ask you: "Where is this proof?" Links or gtfo. I love that we're always painted as the enemy, by the way. We don't hate you just because you believe in the opposite of what we do. At least, not all of us...we just think it's silly to believe in magic when you're supposed to be an adult.
11 :
That isn't nice Joe, they don't have dark hearts... why don't you cook them something good and invite them over for dinner? Jesus ate and drank with unbelievers.
12 :
How come you can't cook anything but spam?
13 :
Because we're free to eat whatever we want. We're also free to believe in whatever we want, watch whatever we want, read whatever we want, and talk to whomever we want. No preacher gives us lists of exclusions to obey

CAN INSURANCE CO. REJECT CLAIM FOR HEART DISEASE DUE TO PRE EXISTING HYPERTENSION

CAN INSURANCE CO. REJECT CLAIM FOR HEART DISEASE DUE TO PRE EXISTING HYPERTENSION?
My uncle has a mediclaim policy with hyper tension as pre existing disease. Can a pre-existing hypertension (High BP) be sighted as reason for denying insurance claim for the treatment of heart attack? My uncle underwent Angioplasty for which the insurance company has denied the claim saying the he had a pre-existing hypertension with High BP.

1 :
Unfortunately Yes. I went to the company's site and here's what it says: 3.5 Preexisting Diseases means any aliment / disease / Injury that the person is suffering from (known/not known, treated/untreated, declared or not declared in the proposal) whilst taking the policy. Any complication. Arising from pre-existing ailment / disease / Injury will be considered as Preexisting Diseases.
2 :
No one here knows anything about your uncle's insurance coverage or medical conditions. You need to carefully read his policy provisions.
3 :
~~When he received his contract and benefit package it would clearly show what exclusions he would have due to the high BP. In our country corporatations rule, so without looking at everything and my extensive background in the health care industry, I would guess without a doubt that all the exclusion would include any possible secondary illness that could possible be due to high BP. The truth is health insurance companies do not want to pay, and protect themselves in any way possible. To be certain though, you need to see his letter of acceptance and his policy coverage, as every policy is so different, and state laws can vary the law of what health insurance can and can not do in every state. ~~
4 :
Yes. Hypertension leads to heart issues or stroke issues. If the policy excludes things related to hypertension, an angioplasty is clearly excluded.
5 :
Of course the insurance is going to say that. They dont want to pay it. Anytime an insurance company has to pay money they fight it. They rather spend more money fighting people than just paying over the money. They love to take it but hate paying it out. Your uncle is entitled to his money. He is oging to have to legally fight them for years to see it though. Good luck. Maybe after spending $10,000 in lawyer fees, wasting hundreds of hours in the lawyer offices and courts, he will see his money in 5-10 years from now. It is how they operate. Dirty crooks they are. And, the republican politicians protect them
