Very careful ones.

Many patients experience no symptoms. As for visual observations, truncal obesity--a big belly--is often a big sign of heart disease as are high cholesterol levels. They may be out of breath and sweaty with minor exertion.
3 :
I have this. I've had four heart attacks, I died on the table once. I had a six bypass operation and also have three stints in from another surgery. I have never got the usual heart attacks or pain others got. I get super tired, can't make the basement steps. Can't eat, sweat a lot and the heart rate soars, I've had a 244/224 already. They try to keep it at 90/65 but ? and my cholesterol is a 360 nothing changes it, it's a hereditary thing, my sisters are high also. My days are limited, I know that but ? that's life.

Coronary artery disease involves impairment of blood flow through the coronary arteries, most commonly by atheromas. Clinical presentations include silent ischemia, angina pectoris, acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, MI), and sudden cardiac death. Diagnosis is by symptoms, ECG, stress testing, and sometimes coronary angiography. Prevention consists of modifying reversible risk factors (eg, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, physical inactivity, obesity, and smoking). Treatment includes drugs and procedures to reduce ischemia and restore or improve coronary blood flow

I am 58 years old and started having these skipped beats around the time I had my first child at age 29, and have had them ever since. I do suffer from AF, but my cardiologist says that the premature beats have nothing to do with my AF and are actually common and not necessarily cause for alarm. He doesn't treat them with medication unless they get bad enough that they interfere with every day life. If you have gone to the doctor and they found nothing wrong, all you can do is deal with it. The doctor might prescribe some type of medication to keep them under control the the side effects of these medications are numerous and dangerous.

It's considered an arrythmia
3 :
Could be a disorder or disease. Usually there are many meds that help regulate heart beats. Seems like the wiring isnt quite right. Many meds can help. Talk to a cardiologst that will splain everthing to you. YOu will get much better answers than on Yahoo! . Some are totally without consequence and some can develop into more severe rhythm disorders..

how come doctors didn't figure out how to cure heart disease

how come doctors didn't figure out how to cure heart disease?
how come doctors in hospitals didn't find a cure for diseases like heart disease and lung disease?

Doctors are not medical researchers so they would not be the ones investigating "cures" in the first place. Doctors diagnose and treat illnesses based on research performed by scientists. Diseases are very complicated. Even developing a drug that may just treat an illness can take up to 20 years of testing and most drugs tested never make it to market. Many diseases are caused by multiple problems and sometimes the system is poorly understood so more work needs to be done to understand what causes the disease before we can even begin to treat it.
2 :
We've known for a long time what causes heart disease, but the electric and utility industries lobbied our government to suppress the research so that they wouldn't lose their huge profits. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1200/is_5_155/ai_54031955 And now we have cell phone masts and wi-fi to contend with, and no surprise, heart disease is on the rise again. Even kids are dying from heart attacks and strokes today. I wouldn't doubt that this accounts for the increase in lung disease, too - I know wireless has been linked to the increase in asthma.
3 :
It is still a work in progress. There are many things that can cause heart failiure or lung diseases. Research continues daily. Doctors at present can only treat the problem with the medicines or technology that presently exist.

How can education (school, media etc.) help to prevent heart disease

How can education (school, media etc.) help to prevent heart disease?`?
And do you think it's successful?
Heart Diseases - 4 Answers

1 :
Educating people on exercise, smoking cessation, and low cholesterol/saturated fat diets can help prevent heart disease only if people are willing to change.
2 :
If someone told you that if you did something that it could kill you, you might change your behaviour. Thats the basics of it.
3 :
Education promoting a healthy lifestyle could go a long way in the early years to maintaining health in later years.
4 :
Educating people on things they can change for a longer life, like prevention of heart disease is good. You might know a lot about it, and do well for your self, but there are millions of peoples lives who could be made longer, better, and more joyful. I do think it is successful. There are many things that have been improved because people are taught. Think if you didn't know smoking could cause heart disease, you might keep smoking, and die 20 years earlier then expected. Not only is that bad for you, but think of the people in your life that will miss you, need you, and be effected in their lives by you. Education is just a tool to help others to do, or not do for a better life and world.. God bless
