Excessive consumption of milk and dairy is linked to heart disease. So why are milk farms subsidized

Excessive consumption of milk and dairy is linked to heart disease. So why are milk farms subsidized?
Why people eat some much dairy? what make people think that you should drink cow milk? I'm a human, not a baby calf.

maybe you should eat baby farts to, theyre human
2 :
Because, we can. Next.
3 :
A glass of orange juice contains more calcium than a glass of milk but commercials will have people believing otherwise.
4 :
because it impossible to make money farming. think about it more stuff produce lower Price gos. the less produce higher price is. but every one needs to buy food.
5 :
not only your point, but the calcium in pasturized milk is inorganic, the human body does not know what to do with inorganic calcium. So it's dropped in the body where its' conveient to do so, causing arthritis for some, gout for others, calcium build up in arteries for others, and for still others, kidney stones. If a baby calf were to be given pasturized milk for 30 days, it would die.
6 :
I presume you don't eat people either
7 :
"i'm a human not a baby calf" hahaha... a clever human but on the real, have you ever looked into what industries receive the most subsidize and which ones do not? i'll clue you in, all the healthy stuff = no, or very little subsidies. all the crap that we by nature should not be eating (not to mention suppresses consciousness) = huge subsidies
8 :
Subsidies protect supplies and protect the industry. We don't want farmers to kill the cows, plow the fields over, or let the farm go fallow because they can not recoup the investment in the commodities. The high fat diet of Americans isn't just milk consumption, but also meat driven

Is radioactive medicine safe for a person with Rheumatic Heart Disease

Is radioactive medicine safe for a person with Rheumatic Heart Disease?
what are the advantages and disadvantage?
Heart Diseases - 3 Answers

1 :
AS LONG AS THE DRUG COMPANY IS MAKING MONEY FROM IT.
2 :
Radioactive medicines such as radioactive iodine and strontium 89 Chloride injections and several others are given for a very specific purpose and in under highly controlled circumstances. These medications can have side effects. Some side effects are related to the radioactivity and others to the medication itself. Samarium Sm 153 Lexidronam, Injection can cause congestive heart problems in some individuals. If you have rheumatic heart disease then you may be particularly susceptible. Doctors will be on alert for such conditions, but make sure to tell the physician. These medications are used to treat a particular condition and the side effects are well known to the medical profession. Any patient must make sure his/her physician is well aware of any preexisting conditions that could complicate treatment. A through medical history should be known before treatment is started. So it mostly depends on which medication is being used and the dosage. The doctors should take all factors into consideration in any treatment plan.
3 :
medical management of RHD is 1]avoid factors which increses the left atrial stress,2]diuretics,3]anticoagulant therapy. never heard of radioactive substance therapy in RHD, BUT IT IS USED IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS (RADIO GOLD), OR IN MALIGNANT CONDITIONS WHERE IT IS A MUST

How does HFCS High Fructose Corn Syrup contribute to heart disease

How does HFCS High Fructose Corn Syrup contribute to heart disease?
Is it worse than using salt in your diet?
Medicine - 1 Answers

1 :
Assuming you are completing a research project, I will give you some basic theory: Current data suggests that HFCS leads to an inflammatory condition in the body conducive to heart disease. HFCS leads to blood glucose spikes, high insulin levels, abdominal obesity, higher blood fat levels, higher blood pressure, and insulin resistance, all part of the metabolic syndrome which on a general level, greatly increases your risk for heart disease. Is it worse that salt? That's like comparing apples and oranges. Both ideally need to be restricted. Western people consume excess sodium and HFCS. Both are bad. However, if forced to choose, I would say HFCS is "worse", simply because a.) not everyone is salt sensitive and develops HTN (high blood pressure) due to excess salt intake, and b.) HFCS appears to increase the rate of metabolic syndrome, Type 2 diabetes/insulin resistance, abnormal lipid profiles, obesity, etc. *in addition* to high blood pressure. There have been some studies linking excess salt to obesity as some people wash down salty foods with large amounts of pop. All of that said, HFCS and salt in moderation is not likely to kill anyone (although some dietitians would refute that ANY amount of HFCS is safe), but the problem is that people in Western countries eat/drink far too much of the wrong things, and far too often. Eating a hamburger, small Coke, and small fries from the Golden Arches once per month won't do much harm if you eat healthy 99% of the time and are otherwise healthy, but McDs DAILY with a large Coke certainly will cause damage. Common sense. My personal advice is to eat natural unprocessed foods in their natural state. Fish, lean meats, beans, lentils, brown rice, olive oil, nuts, fruits, veggies, etc. If it comes in a can, box, or package, it's likely processed and contains things not conducive to good health. HFCS is added to many nutrient poor processed foods. You don't need to add salt to your foods, and you should drink water instead of sodas and processed juices

Is it true that ticks are a warning of heart disease or brain stroke

Is it true that ticks are a warning of heart disease or brain stroke?
I have been told that when people get these ticks (in an eye, for example) it is a message from our body to slow down or else to suffer a heart attack or a brain stroke or something? How related are these to high stress and is there like a tea or something to relaaax???
Heart Diseases - 5 Answers

1 :
Bogus. It is true that ticks can be a sign of high stress or exhaustion, or even just not getting enough sleep. But they aren't a sign you are about to expire from a heart attack or stroke. It just means you need to chill, or get some sleep. There are a lot of ways to relax, but taking things into the body isn't the way to do it. Learn to do deep breathing and meditate.
2 :
Everyone reacts differently to different stressors, this is also a symptom of tourettes syndrome. This could also just be some nerve issue on that side of the face. Best bet is to see a doctor either one is going to require a doctor to treat. better sooner that later
3 :
Do you mean "Blepharospasm or Tourette syndrome"? A blepharospasm, is any abnormal contraction or twitch of the eyelid. Gilles de la Tourette syndrome is a disorder of the nervous system that causes a person to make repeated and uncontrolled (involuntary) movements and sounds (vocalizations) called tics. The disorder is commonly called Tourette syndrome. A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is an episode in which a person has stroke -like symptoms for less than 24 hours, usually less than 1-2 hours. A TIA is often considered a warning sign that a true stroke may happen in the future if something is not done to prevent it. There is no scientific evidence in support of your statement.
4 :
Tics or muscle twitching is most often related to muscle strain in the area - especially the eye and when you stop working at a computer screen and look far away for about 5 minutes, the twitching often stops. This can also be a sign that you need your eyes checked and maybe eyeglasses or a lens change. This has nothing to do with a heart attack or a stroke. Stopping what you are doing when they occur is the treatment of choice.

Links to websites will be very helpfull. please help. The place is in south africa, so what pills do you drink then and what are the side effects??

1 :
Please see the web page for more details on Malaria prophylaxis. Halofantrine (also called Halfan) is widely used overseas to treat malaria. CDC recommends that you do not take Halfan because of serious heart-related side effects, including deaths. Consult your doctor.
2 :
These malaria pills, excluding Mefloquine/ brand name Lariam, maybe helpful published by CDC. Verify with health provider. Malaria can occur despite taking antimalarials http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dpd/parasites/malaria/factsht_malaria_drugs.htm Alternative medicines: sweet wormwoods herb, very safe, can drink all year round w or w/o other medicines. Daily dose is maybe 1/2 lbs or more as 1 glass of soup. Personal experience, used by NVArmy during VN war, and UN's aids to Africa for anti-malaria

If statins are taken on a regular basis what's the effect on crononary heart disease

If statins are taken on a regular basis what's the effect on crononary heart disease?
im doing a science report and i need to know what effect does statins have on someone who has crononary heart disease please ; someone help me

Statins are very over hyped by drug companies. Statins have 11 other effects besides lowering cholesterol . Statins have an anti- inflammatory effect. This is how they work for slightly reducing CAD. Fish oil has done just as much. Look up "Dr Dwight Lundell". He is a respected , pioneering heart surgeon who is speaking out publicly on the cholesterol myth. This video by Dr. Malcolm Kendrick should help you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE_RIQY53ys&feature=related
2 :
Ignore "Rick". The vast majority of the medical community believe that high cholesterol levels increase the risk of hear disease. I look at medical journals, not YouTube. The effects are multiple. Existing deposits are stabilized. That means they harden and are less likely to break off & cause problem. Also, the lower levels mean that less is deposited. One other effect, not completely understood, is that statins reduce inflammation in the vascular system Start with some info from the American Heart Assn. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3046113

What things you eat low of to prevent heart disease

What things you eat low of to prevent heart disease.?
I am trying to eat very, very little cholestorel but is there any thing else I should be low on too?

Its not eating cholesterol, its eating excess fats and oils, too little fruits and veggies. Cut out anything with cream in the name, visible fat, and anything fried, anything from dairy.
2 :
To prevent heart disease: # Cut down on beverages and fruit juices with added sugar. # Avoid full cream milk and dairy products but consume semi-skimmed milk and its products. # Avoid alcohol or drink in moderation preferably wine. # Remove foods that have partially hydrogenated oils to reduce the trans fat content of your diet. # Avoid processed foods as much as you can. # Limit the use of condiments such as mustard, catsup, pickles and salted sauces. # Switch to lean meat and prepare them without added fat. # Use more of mono-unsaturated and polyunsaturated fat and avoid saturated fat. # Use foods with low salt and try to add less salt while cooking. # Flavour foods with herbs, spices, lemon or limejuice, vinegar or salt free seasoning blends. # Avoid foods, which have low nutrition value like sodas, candy and fast foods.
3 :
FISH BROILED CHICKEN FRESH FRUIT SALADS
