No. Cardiovascular disease covers a larger area such as arterial hypertension, arteriosclerosis/atherosclerosis, diseases of the aorta and its branches, peripheral arterial disorders, peripheral venous and lymphatic disorders & heart diseases. [Cardiovascular: (Greek: kardia -heart, Latin: Vasculum-a small vessel) Heart disease is covered by arrhythmias and conduction disorders, cardiac tumors, cardiomyopathies, coronary artery disease, diseases of aorta and its branches, endocarditis, heart failure, pericarditis, sports and the heart and valvular disorders.

Heart Disease is to do with the Heart. Arteries/Veins are Cardiovascular. and usually, the coronary arteries are the main blood supply to the Heart and when they are constricted/blocked , then You will have a Cardiac event (or) a Heart attack
