Does anyone know how restricting iron can prevent cancer and heart disease?
I've heard that most cancers need iron to thrive and that iron is part of causing plaque in the arteries. Whenever I give blood, they say that it is good for you. Anyone know more about the science behind this?

cancer does thrive on iron... however... iron is needed for red blood cell to thrive also. So without iron your red blood cells won't function properly, making breathing and respiration difficult. Iron is needed but not too much
