No. Irregular heartbeats are caused by many things. Everyone has an occasional episode. Some people will have what's called an arrhythmia. Some arrhythmias are harmless and common. Some are more serious. Heart disease is diagnosed with several tests and has several signs and symptoms associated with it (shortness of breath, chest pain, swollen lower extremities, high cholesterol, age, etc.). These symptoms don't mean you have heart disease usually, but sometimes a combination of these symptoms warrant further investigation. Talk to a cardiologist if you have a concern
