if someone is diagnosed with ischaemic heart disease what does he have to do?
a friend had a baloon angioplasty a few months ago. now he tells me that his diagnosis writes that he has ischaemic heart disease. is it serious??

balloon angioplasty is one intervention that can open blood vessels to permit blood flow to an ischemic area. ischemic means, in this context, an area of tissue that is starved from lack of blood. it is possible that not all of his vessels were amenable to angioplasty, so those areas could be ischemic. it is also possible that after blood flow was restored, that some areas of his heart just did not revive, and are still dead; therefore he would still have ischemic heart disease.
